The Saranac Lake Central School District Board of Education is pumping the brakes on creating a committee to discuss the future of Bloomingdale Elementary School, with members saying they want more concrete data for the committee to consider before they get to work. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports over the summer, a consulting firm looking at declining enrollment and building usage in the district recommended closing Bloomingdale Elementary School in the 2027-28 school year.
