The town of North Elba is seeking to override the real property tax cap in the event that they need more flexibility in next year’s budget. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, to override the tax cap, the town will need to enact a local law. At a meeting on Oct. 8, the North Elba Town Council scheduled a public hearing for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, which needs to take place before the budget is approved in November.
