State Sen. Dan Stec, R-Queensbury, met with Tupper Lake Central School District officials Thursday to tour the Tupper Lake Memorial Civic Center as part of a visit to the town. The ice rink there is down due to an equipment malfunction and there are some hurdles in terms of any state funding to help pay for repairs because the rink is owned by the school district and state aid is based on significant academic time in a facilty for it to be eligible.
