The pharmacy counter inside the Saranac Lake Walgreens is closing indefinitely starting on Dec. 2 and people will need to drive to the chain’s location in Lake Placid to pick up prescriptions with the company for the time being. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports a sign on the front door of the shop says the closure is due to a “staffing shortage” and that they are searching for more staff to fill the gap.
