Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that more than $7.4 million in federal funding was awarded to county emergency management agencies in New York State to support planning and operational readiness for disaster response. Sun Community News reports North Country counties Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton and Warren received a total of $107,946, with Clinton getting $33,107, Essex $18,159, Franklin $21,741, Hamilton – being the least populated county in the state – $6,798, and Warren $28,141.
