The Lake Placid Central School District is halfway through it’s full year of implementing a new reading curriculum mandated by the state and based on evidence-based standards that have swept the country in recent years. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports LPES teachers who have been using the curriculum say their students have responded well, so far.
