A Lake Placid man escaped serious injury Saturday evening, but is now facing charges, including aggravated DWI, after being freed from his overturned vehicle. Authorities arrived on Cascade Road in North Elba, where they found the vehicle’s sole occupant, Wyatt J. Cassidy, 46, inside an overturned 2023 Toyota off the southern shoulder. A field sobriety test showed the suspect had a blood alcohol content of .26 percent.
