The Lake Placid Central School District board voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve the district’s budget for the 2025-26 school year. This budget is an increase of about 3% from last year, and will be beneath the tax cap. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports although some costs are projected to rise next year, the district plans to use about $1.2 million from its appropriated fund balance to bridge the gap
