Adirondack Rail Trail Community Day June 21

The first-ever Adirondack Rail Trail Community Day is June 21. Sun Community News reports during this day-long celebration, participants can join in stewardship projects, partake in a scavenger hunt or just enjoy biking, running or walking along the trail that currently stretches from Lake Placid to Floodwood Road.
Between 10 a.m. and noon, attendees can participate in one of several service projects that need to be completed. Those include clearing out leaves, sticks and gravel; removing Purple Loosestrife and Oriental Bittersweet; painting the timber railing; and more.
