A multi-hour standoff ended on Saturday in Tupper Lake’s Junction area. The standoff was met with a heavy law enforcement presence, including armored vehicles and members of the Franklin, Essex and Clinton counties sheriff’s departments. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports Village Mayor Mary Fontana said that she had been informed that the alleged suspects were apprehended, and did not believe anyone had been injured or killed during the incident.
