The Tupper Lake Central School District’s cellphone ban will go into effect at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. It was signed into law on May 9 by Gov. Kathy Hochul and as a state regulation. The superintendent told the school board at a meeting this week, there’s not much wiggle room individual districts have if they wanted to skirt around the policy.
