The Wild Center is helping visitors unplug and reconnect with the natural world at its Get Outside Festival – a four-day celebration of outdoor adventure, creativity, and hands-on exploration. Festival highlights include: Live glassblowing demonstrations from the Corning Museum of Glass Mobile Hot Shop (daily) Canoe demos on the Raquette River (daily) Naturalist walks highlighting woodpeckers (daily) and Insight into the edible and medicinal nature of the Adirondacks with Melanie Sawyer– featured on the History Channel’s Alone Show (daily). The Festival runs Thursday through Sunday.
