The Tupper Lake Central School District Board of Education formally adopted the district’s new cellphone policy in a unanimous vote at its regular monthly meeting Monday evening. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports the new policy requires public school districts throughout the state to implement bans on so-called “internet-enabled devices” during the school day. It will be in effect when students come back to school on Sept. 4.
