The Harrietstown-owned Adirondack Regional Airport is getting a $710,836 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration to renovate one of its taxiways for a smoother ride. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise,
Airport Manager Corey Hurwitch said this is a grant where the state pays 2.5%, the town pays 2.5% and the FAA pays 95%. But, he said the project involves a bit of soil disturbance, which the FAA will not pay for and will be paid for out-of-pocket by the airport.
