The Lake Placid Classic returns on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the North Elba Show Grounds. Now in its 54th year, the race continues its tradition of bringing runners together from near and far for an event that is 100% non-profit and community driven. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, new this year, the Lake Placid Classic will offer a 5K race, joining the long-standing half marathon and 10K events.
