The Harrietstown council, in a 3-2 vote on Thursday, decided to recommend the federal government contract with SkyWest Airlines at the town-owned Adirondack Regional Airport. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the U.S. Department of Transportation will make the final decision on which of four airlines it will subsidize flights for at SLK. In making its decision, the DOT will include the town’s recommendation, as well as public comments, into consideration.
