A Lake Placid restaurant owner announced his bid for Congress at John Brown Farm in North Elba on Friday. Stuart Amoriell, owner of The Pickled Pig, is campaigning to succeed Rep. Elise Stefanik. News 10 reports Amoriell is running as a Democrat focused on strengthening the local economy, protecting senior citizens, education, environmental conservation, healthcare, and protecting American ideals like justice, opportunity, and equality.
