Four environmental conservation advocacy groups are vying for party status to the upcoming adjudicatory hearing for a proposed howitzer range in the town of Lewis. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the groups include Adirondack Council, Adirondack Wild: Friends of the Forest Preserve, Protect the Adirondacks! and the Sierra Club’s Atlantic Chapter, which includes the entirety of New York state — are all opposed to the howitzer range.
