The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department Holiday Helpers toy drive is not quite over, but the incredibly generous Saranac Lake community has already turned out in such impressive numbers that the firehouse is literally overflowing with Christmas toys and other gifts for local children. The community also gifted hats, mittens, sports balls, games and books, and specially requested items of clothing selected for individual children.
