Headway Being Made On Renovations To Jay Theatre

The Jay Entertainment & Music Society (JEMS) is making headway on the renovations to the Amos & Julia Ward Theatre on Parkside Drive. Sun Community News reports JEMS closed the theater to the public on Oct. 1 after several leaks were found in the lobby flooring. The not-for-profit organization that strives to connect the local and visiting communities through the arts is replacing the flooring and reworking the heating. They’re accepting contractor estimates to rebuild the floor, which would cost between $20,000 and $30,000 to complete.
