Tupper Lake resident Brian Merriam is circulating a petition calling for Sunmount Developmental Center to do something out its aging facade. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports, in the suit, Merriam says the appearance of some of the buildings gives a poor impression of the community. It’s garnered about 220 signatures. Merriam said the local leaders told him that they had brought the appearance up to state officials in conversation before, to no avail.
