In Ausable Forks, the Board of Education is making sure that all teachers, students, alumni, local officials, and taxpayers are aware of the AuSable Valley Central School District’s (AVCS) budget development process during its current financial crisis. Sun Community News reports so far, district leaders and board members have attended town board meetings, starting with the Town of Ausable on Jan. 14 and ending with the Town of Black Brook on Feb. 9. Next, they plan on making appearances at the Town of Jay meeting on March 12 at 6 p.m. and at a Town of Chesterfield meeting, in which the date and time are yet to be determined. The Board of Education also plans on hosting two budget workshops — Feb. 26 and March 11 — in the high school auditorium at 6 p.m.
