Tupper Lake Man Charged With Attempted Murder

State Police have charged a Tupper Lake man with attempted murder after he allegedly hit another man with his pickup truck. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, 46 year old Matthew Patnode of Tupper Lake, was charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies. On Feb. 11, New York State Police responded to 2 Lindsay Ave. for a reported intentional hit and run involving a pedestrian at approximately 7:50 p.m. The weapon in the third-degree criminal possession charge was the truck itself. The victim — Eric Snyder, 37, of Tupper Lake — was transported to Adirondack Medical Center and later transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington for further treatment. Police said he was treated and released.
