Traditionally observed as a religious holiday commemorating the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day has since evolved into a celebration of Irish culture, with parades, music, dancing, drinking, and a whole lot of green. And the village will be hosting its very own celebration on the Saturday before. According to the Sun Community News, the village’s 11th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled this year for March 14 at 1pm.
