The Saranac Lake Police Department has temporarily suspended parking on Dorsey Street during the village’s Main Street construction project. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, with traffic diverted away from Main Street during daytime hours in the work week, more vehicles are traveling down the narrow, windy and hemmed-in side street. The street has parking on one side, but is often too narrow to allow two vehicles to pass each other while cars are parked there.
