Ironman Lake Placid, which this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary, returns on Sunday, July 21. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports Ironman Lake Placid will see competitors from all over the world take part in the 140.6-mile Ironman race. The event consists of a 2.4-mile swim, followed by a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run.
