Public and private schools around the region saw a range of increases and decreases in student enrollment at the start of the school year. Some examples: In Tupper Lake, 11 more students are enrolled this year than last at the same time. In Saranac Lake, 26 fewer students are enrolled this year compared to last. In Lake Placid, 20 fewer students are enrolled this year compared to last, reports the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
