Saranac Lake Historian Remembered

Philip “Bunk” Griffin, a Saranac Laker who documented and became part of this village’s history, died at home on Oct. 16. He was 84. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Griffin, better known as Bunk, was an unofficial town historian of sorts for his hometown, and shared the photos, stories and memories he collected through his website bunksplace.com. His family and friends describe him as quiet, creative, passionate, witty and sentimental.
