A Tupper Lake man is facing felony charges after he allegedly broke into a local residence and stole items valuing several thousand dollars. Lake Placid Village Police arrested 51 year old David M. Preston in connection with the Feb. 12 burglary, charging him with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree grand larceny. Preston was arraigned in Village Court and remanded to Essex County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
