A multi-agency investigation has been launched into the violent death of an incarcerated individual at Upstate Correctional Facility. 35 year old Antawon Johnson was found unconscious and not breathing in his cell.
Further investigation revealed that Arkies Sommerville, 28, and Johnson were cellmates when a physical altercation took place. Johnson was transported to the infirmary, where he received medical care, but died of his injuries.
