The Tupper Lake Village Board voted unanimously at its Sept. 15 regular meeting to sign a letter of intent to switch healthcare plans for its 29 municipal retirees who are currently eligible for Medicare. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the change won’t have an impact on the actual coverage network. Rather than a direct plan, however, it would be through a healthcare consortium organized by Broome County that Excellus won through a request for proposal.
