A portion of the Adirondack Rail Trail from its intersection with Old Military Road in Lake Placid to its intersection with Ray Brook Road in Ray Brook is slated to be closed all day on Wednesday. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the rail trail is being shut down for the day so crews can trim back and remove vegetation underneath powerlines that cross over the trail in that corridor. That portion of the trail is anticipated to reopen on Thursday. No other segments of the rail trail are expected to be impacted by Wednesday’s vegetation work.
