From 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program will host a free webinar called “Hope for Hemlocks: Biocontrols, Volunteers, and Tips for Landowners.” Sun Community News reports the webinar will cover a couple of options for controlling HWA, an invasive insect whose presence has been confirmed in the Adirondacks. It can cause significant damage to and potentially result in the death of hemlock trees.
