On January 31, 2020, a package addressed to an inmate, was received at the Annex mailroom within the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora. Upon opening the package, eleven New York State Department of Correction and Community Supervision employees taken to the hospital. The package was tested and found to contain synthetic cannabinoids. On March 4, 2021, 44-year-old Alex Krahmalni of Manhattan, was arrested and charged with one count of Promoting Prison Contraband.
