The clock is ticking on a decision as to whether North Elba will allow cannabis sales and on-site consumption licenses for marijuana. This week, council delayed making a decision after councilors failed to come to a consensus. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports the state’s cannabis law gave municipalities the opportunity to opt out of allowing dispensaries and/or consumption sites within their limits. Towns, villages and cities have until Dec. 31 to opt out of one or the other, otherwise, they will automatically be opted in to both.
