Lake Placid is welcoming its Olympic athletes home from Beijing next week with a parade on Main Street, free public skating at the Olympic Speedskating Oval and athlete speakers. A number of groups are hosting the events, and the march will also feature athletes from the New York State Ski Educational Foundation, Lake Placid Middle-High School, CAN/AM hockey group and Northwood School. The parade will begin at Brewster Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24.
