Saranac Lake Village manager John Sweeney’s final day on the job will be this Friday after the board voted 3 to 1 this week to release him. The move comes days before a new mayor and trustee are sworn in. Sweeney says he’s an “at-will” employee, employed at the will of the board. He said his release gives the incoming board the chance to “build their team.” He tells the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the action gives the board the opportunity to put their team together.
