Tuesday a train engine carrying passengers will pull into the Tupper Lake Depot on its way from Thendara. It’s the first such trip since 1981 on the tracks owned by the state DOT. There were trips during the 1980 Olympics but the state decided to invest $30 million to refurbish the tracks between Remsen and Tupper Lake.
