In celebration of Earth Day, the Adirondack Park’s largest environmental organization awarded 12 micro-grants totaling $26,000 to local farmers and value-added food/beverage/fiber producers. The initiative is an effort to support climate-friendly economic activity in the Adirondack Park. Among the recipients, Mark Twain Maple Works and Blue Line Compost, both in Saranac Lake, are each receiving $1,500 to invest in their operations.
