A week from this Friday, September 1st, is the deadline to apply for the town of North Elba’s Local Enhancement and Advancement Fund — LEAF, which has distributed more than $3 million for more than 80 local projects since April 2021.
This fund — created by redistributing 2% of the county’s 5% occupancy tax — is responsible for helping many worthwhile projects throughout the town, which spans from the village of Lake Placid, west through the hamlet of Ray Brook and into the village of Saranac Lake.
