COVID-19 Vaccine Offered At Franklin County Fair

If you’re planning to take in the Franklin County Fair you can get your COVID-19 vaccine at the same time. According to Franklin County Public Health the clinic for those 12 and older will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting on Saturday on the infield of the fairgrounds.

Motorcyclist Killed In Long Lake Accident

A motorcyclist is killed in an accident Wednesday in Long Lake. State Police say the rider identified as Steven Lacrosse of Canandaigua lost control on Route 30 near South Pond while going around a curve and went off the road hitting guide wires. Lacrosse died at the scene. The accident is under investigation.

Alice Hyde Drive Thru COVID Test Site Shutting Down

UVM Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center announced Wednesday that its Drive-Thru COVID Test Site on Park Street will shut down effective Friday, August 6, at 3 p.m., and the hospital will transition its testing program to Primary Care offices, Alice Hyde Walk-In Clinic, and the hospital’s Laboratory Services department beginning Monday, August 9.

Eagle Island Open To The Public Twice In August

Eagle Island will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, August 21st and 22nd, 11 am to 4 pm. Reservations are required. Visitors will be transported from the camp’s mainland dock at 442 Gilpin Bay, Saranac Lake, NY. All visitors must register at eagleisland.org/events.
