Newcomb To Open Visitor, Communcations Center

The town of Newcomb will officially open a $1.9 million visitor/community/communications center on May 24. Adirondack Almanack reports it boasts state-of-the art electronics, top-notch meeting space, a commercial kitchen, tele-work space and a visitors clearing house of information about the too-often overlooked southern access to the High Peaks.

AMR Parking Reservations To Begin Thursday

A popular area hiking trail hub is set to continue its parking reservation system, which will run May 1 through Oct. 31.
