A 68-year-old hiker from Pennsylvania died near Marcy Dam this past Friday after suffering a “medical emergency,” the state Department of Environmental Conservation confirmed Sunday. LPCSD Proposed Budget

The Lake Placid Central School District Board of Education is proposing to increase spending and taxes in its $22.4 million proposed budget. The district’s 2024-25 budget would stay within the state’s tax cap.
