Keene Valley Congregational Church is asking for donations as they work to send hygiene kits to people whose lives have been upended by Hurricane Helene. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the church is sending hygiene kits through Church World Service, an ecumenical charitable organization.
North Country Community College will host two readings of the play “The Pathless Woods” by renowned playwright Karen Lewis. Rep. Elise Stefanik has co-sponsored legislation to award Congressional Gold Medals to the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team. The proposed legislation calls for three medals to be displayed at the Lake Placid Olympic Center, the Hockey Hall of Fame, and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum.
