The Saranac Lake Village Board of Trustees on Tuesday approved an amendment to its local snowmobile law to allow snowmobiles to drive on a roughly 200-foot portion of Main Street. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports board members say the small change has raised community concerns about the village’s broader snowmobile law and led the board to consider further changing — and possibly rewriting — the law in the future.
