Tupper Lake Man Faces Drug Counts

A Tupper Lake man is behind bars after he was found unresponsive in a local parking lot with an illegally possessed handgun, meth and drug-manufacturing materials. New York State Police were called to the Maplefields store on Route 3 at about 2:15 a.m. June 30 when Christopher J. Jessie was found unresponsive inside a vehicle. After approaching the car, troopers reportedly found Jessie, 46, breathing but unresponsive, with a handgun next to him. After securing the weapon and waking him up, Jessie was searched and found in possession of buprenorphine, a controlled substance.
