Saranac Lake police are seeking the public’s help in their search for one of Saranac Lake’s welcome signs, which went missing this past weekend. The sign was located on state Route 3 between Bloomingdale and Saranac Lake. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, police say that the missing sign was last seen at 5 p.m. on Saturday. By 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, the sign was gone. The sign was one of four new welcome signs installed along major roadways into the village on Aug. 12.
